We will be supporting the ministry “Meet Me Under The Bridge” by reaching out to the Indy downtown homeless community, in August, Sunday 12, 2012. Volunteers will serve meals and share the Gospel as needed.

We are so blessed to say that Westfield Horizon Church will be coming alongside Messiah Missions for this outreach!

How to get there: The volunteer team meets at Hardees at 921 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202, at 2:30 to pray and caravan to the serving spot. The serving location is Davidson Street Bridge on Davidson Street off of E. Washington Street, east of College Ave., next to Salvation Army. The meals are served at 3pm. The entire work is finished around 5pm.

Tips from Meet Me Under the Bridge:

• Never go help the homeless by yourself outside the group. Be Safe!
• Don’t give out anyone’s personal info or cell phone to the homeless.
• Please leave purses & wallets locked up in car. Please don’t bring cash to gathering.
• Never promise a homeless person something and not follow through. They remember and hold on to what you promise.
