Messiah Missions had a blessed afternoon with our sisters and brothers from ‘Meet Me Under the Bridge’ on Sunday, October 14th.
The outreach of feeding and loving the homeless street population was unforgetable due to several giving their lives to Jesus through tearful conviction and repentance. The biblical message came from the heart of a reformed drug dealer who had been incarcerated multiple times, who is essentially a new Christian of three years. Sporting multiple tattoos, John shared his testimony and preached an old-fashioned, powerful evangelistic message of salvation that touched all those who heard him.
On these occassions we are reminded that proclaiming the Gospel does not require a college education or a refined presentation but rather a genuinely transformed heart empowered by the Holy Spirit. Great is our God! His gracious hand of love is reaching out to those who will receive the Good News! The Lord will use those who are willing to speak truth in boldness and in the power of His Spirit.
Pictured below is one of the new street converts, being given a New Testament and receiving encouragement from fellow believers. Northview Church from Carmel, Indiana, along with men’s prayer group from Cumberland Road Christian Church of Fishers Indiana, joined together for this day of outreach.
