“When JESUS saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd, He said to His disciples, ”The Harvest is plentiful but the workers are few, ASK the Lord of the Harvest , therefore to send out workers into His field.” (Matthew 9:36-38)

The Indian subcontinent is the largest mission field in the World today. It is boasted that one of the disciples of Jesus Christ, Apostle Thomas came to India as a Missionary. If it is true it is real that Jesus wanted Salvation message of the Cross should reach in the First Century itself. But even now in the 22nd Century we see in Temple fires killing hundreds of people and souls going to hell without hope. We learnt that which temple authorities persecuted the nearby church are behind the bars for the fire broke out after the fire-crackers ‘ tragedy in India and we remembered the Bible verses which tells: ‘’In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ . (2 Thessalonians 1:8)

All the programmers, practices, and plans of the church or the Mission should create opportunities for the local congregations to get involved with the community. Because the Church is the Salt of the community and the Mission is the Light of the Community. As well as the Mission is the Salt of the Church. India is a god-conscious country where there were many ‘isms ‘came up like rivers flow down from hills after the rain. India has 4637 people groups, 423 small and big languages more than 27,000 PIN codes and 2435 Unreached people groups which has no access to the gospel.  The progressive economic development of India, and social awareness broke out in many parts of this subcontinent has opened up many positive opportunities for sharing the gospel with the unreached people groups. Natural calamities like Earthquakes, Floods, famine and very recently dangerous firecrackers’ pyrotechnics also have made the land graveyards. But on the other sides opportunities also arise for sharing of the Gospel because it allowed involvement with the local people and communities.

Messiah Missions in India strives to reach the unreached people groups with the gospel. We work with the poorer than the poorest of the people and the vulnerable communities because they also should have a shepherd for their souls. In spite of knowing the cost one has to pay, individuals and families are coming forward to accepting Christ with boldness in heart and commitment in Life.

Statistics taken recently have declared that the particular people groups among which the Messiah Missions work has developed itself in quantity and quality . Because we work among the children for the progress in education as well as youngsters in skill development.

One of the efforts for the purpose is the Messiah Missions Tailoring School in Devaramanahalli.

Last time we had this school in Neelakantanagar and many young girls have been imparted with the skills of cutting, tailoring and embroidery and they have found wheels to earn their living. Many of them heard the name of Jesus first time as there was prayers and testimonies in the Training center. We thank Messiah Missions for generously supporting us with funds to start this Tailoring school and for purchasing brand new Sewing machines. The Bible says man of God [Women of God as well] should be prepared unto every good work of the Master. [ 2 Timothy 2:21]

As well our believers and new comers in Devaramanhalli, Nanjangud town, Rajaji colony, Thoravalli Ashokapuram, Vellore in Tamil nadu, and Gadag in North Karnataka greet you in the name of Jesus our prayers are always with you and we thank God for his faithfulness whenever we remember you and your generous supports in the ministry among this poor people in a needy area where the Gospel of Jesus Christ is very much in need of the social and cultural situations as we remember God so loved the World that He gave us His Only Begotton Son whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but should have Everlasting Life. [John 3:16] and this Son taught us to Love our neighbours and love His Gospel.

A Testimony

My name is Saraswathy. People called me Sarasamma. I was born in a heathen family. I was trained to worship multi color multifaced and multinamed idols as gods. Now I am 50 years old.

Last fortnight a pain developed on my right abdomen. I went to the local hospital and the doctor gave me a prescription and I went to the medical store for a week’s pills, and tablets and also cream. I began to take the prescribed medicine and I began to urinate continually. Pain continued to develop more and i could not tolerate.

At that time Messiah Missions’ missionaries from their Nanjangud headquarters came to my village and began to distribute tracts and other Christian literature. They visited my house and prayed for me upon request. As my husband Soma requested them they took me to the Mysore city Columbia hospital. They took initiative to scan my stomach and the Doctors found out that some stones have developed in my kidney. First they counselled to undergo a major surgery to remove the stones which developed in my kidney. We came back on that day and they evangelists prayed earnestly for me.

The next day again we went and another scan was done. Almost 80 per cent of the stones have been vanished and the rest 20 per cent stones were there. The doctor advised me to undergo medication for another week and now I am completely alright.

In the meantime I could grasp that Jesus Christ is not a religious leader as other people say, on the contrary he is the god of gods, King of kings, and Lord of lords. He is the propitiation for my sins and ransom for my deliverance from sin, sickness and Satan. Now that I know Jesus as God of the Universe and Lord of my souls and my personal Saviour, I attended the Messiah Missions church in Nanjangud Devaramanahalli and told my testimony. My two sons are married and live with wife and children.

I request all the people of God to pray that they will be also come to Christ and believe in the only true and living god.

Yesterday I visited Gudalur, a Town in Tamil Nadu for distributing the Tamil Book. About fifteen pastors gathered for the meeting. I talked regarding open air meetings in the fruitful sharing of the  Word of God and   Church growth also gave to pastors a book to each and every one of them since they are in less number.

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another….1 John 4: 11
